Dear co-workers [Integra, Home Health, Home Care, Hospice, Early Intervention, Pediatrics, CDPAS and Corporate]:

 

A simple, warm, heart-felt, sincere, appreciative THANK YOU to everyone.

 

We are completing Week 3 and I could not be more proud of all that we have accomplished.  In just under 3 weeks we have:

  • Empowered office employees to work remotely -- keeping administrative/operational functions running smoothly

  • Sourced and ordered valuable (and difficult to find) Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) supplies in preparation for the “surge” anticipated to begin in New York next week (and other regions in the weeks to come)

  • Created new protocols and guidelines for Covid-19 Positive Patient Care based on CDC guidance

  • Developed new system codes and administrative procedures to properly track and use telephonic visits, where appropriate, to supplement our normal care.

 

While there is still much to do, our main objective is patient and staff safety.  I want to thank our clinicians, caregivers and aides for their selfless dedication to patient care.  I am constantly astounded by your bravery and your commitment to our patients. We are working very hard to educate staff on the proper usage of PPE now, so we can maintain and properly distribute these valuable supplies throughout the coming weeks. Proper usage and conservation now is critical for the ongoing protection of staff and patients. 

 

I also want to thank our dedicated office, administrative, and IT staff who are working tirelessly to “keep the engine running” – many of you are working longer hours than ever before as we work to establish new procedures and policies. Processes that would normally take several weeks to reengineer, are being established in days, because you are being decisive, thinking outside the box, and seeking solutions.

 

We are not just surviving – we are changing the way we think and transforming the way we do business.  Now more than ever we need positive and optimistic thinking - - we are going to THRIVE and come out of this a better and stronger company.

 

We must remember we are in this together and we will get through this together.  This week I have seen some awesome acts of support, encouragement, kindness and genuine support for fellow co-workers – words, texts, emails – keep it up!
